Lew Coggins

Lew is from Flagstaff, Arizona and is pursuing a Ph.D under the supervision of Dr. William E. Pine, III.  Lew received his undergraduate degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Arizona in 1990 and his M.Sc. degree in Fisheries at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks in 1997.  He has been employed as a professional biologist since 1992 and has worked with the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, the US Fish and Wildlife Service, and currently with the US Geological Survey, Grand Canyon Monitoring and Research Center.  Current research is focused on understanding biotic and abiotic factors influencing the population dynamics of native fishes in the Colorado River in Grand Canyon.
