I am originally from Wichita, Kansas, but also have resided in Carlsbad, CA, Jupiter, FL, South Windsor, CT, Gainesville, FL, and Blountstown FL.  I received a Bachelors of Science in Zoology from the University of Florida in December of 2004.  Following graduation I completed a five month long hike of the Appalachian Trail and ran in the Disney marathon and half marathon.   In February 2006, I started working for Dr. Bill Pine as a Fisheries Technician. Currently, I am assisting graduate students and biologists with various projects, which include studying the spawning, movement, and habitat utilization of sturgeon, bass, suckers, and sunfish.
